Deloris Carroll Obituary

Deloris Carroll, 61, Topeka, Kansas passed away April 2nd following a battle with cancer. Deloris was born June 22nd, 1956, the daughter of Robert and Charlene Carroll. She was raised in Lewis, Ks and later in life took a position with Southwestern Bell moving to Topeka. She resided in Topeka for nearly 40 years making it her home through friendships, community service and a faith community.

Deloris enjoyed scrap booking, crafting, following Quinn’s hockey, and talking on the phone. Throughout her life Deloris was passionate about helping others; serving with such activities as Clowning, VA volunteering, Big Sisters etc. She loved muscle cars, especially Camaros. She was devoted to her family and adored her niece and nephew. A special day never went by without Deloris reaching out to celebrate.

She was preceded in death by both parents. She is survived by her brother Brant Carroll, his wife Cyndi and their children Blair and Quinn, of Amherst, NH and her sisters Denise Carroll of El Paso, TX and Deanna Carroll of Cedar Falls, IA.

Services will be held Thursday, April 5th, 11 AM at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Topeka, KS as well as Saturday, April 7th, 1 PM at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kinsley, KS. A brief reception will be offered following the services. She will be buried next to her family in the Salem Cemetery, Edwards County. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 3625 SW Wanamaker, Topeka, KS.
