Hazel R. Wetzel
August 25, 1939 ~ October 11, 2017 (age 78) 78 Years OldHazel R. Wetzel, 78, died Oct. 11, 2017 at Medicalodge in Kinsley, KS. She was born Aug. 25, 1939 on the farm near Offerle, KS. the daughter of Edward & Lillie Wetzel.
Hazel attended Hutchinson Business College and worked for 37 years for West Plains Energy Centel as a secretary. She enjoyed family, animals and music.
She is preceded in death by her parents Edward Wetzel and Lillie (Ley) Wetzel, brother Raymond Wetzel of Offerle, sister Loretta Wetzel of Dodge City, and nephew Dale Wetzel of Offerle.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Ruth Wetzel of Offerle, nephew Raymond Wetzel Jr. (Bethine) of Offerle, nephew Wayne (Delores) Wetzel of Spearville, niece Nancy (Ron) Ahsmuhs of LaQuinta, CA., niece Glenda Klein of San Antonio, TX.
Funeral service is Fri. Oct. 13, 2017 at 10:30 am at Zion Lutheran Church, Offerle, KS. with Pastor Stanley Palmer presiding.
Burial in Zion Lutheran Cemetery following the funeral service.
