Sonny was such an incredible man. He made the times I was working at the nursing hom even more wonderful. He always gave such wonderful life advice, and had some good stories. One thing I picked up from Sonny was a good attitude about life and not giving up. I was saddened to hear of his passing, I will miss him.

I wish to express my deepest sympathies for the loss of your father, Sonny Dykes. Sonny was a great mechanic and was always a breath of sunshine when I would go to the Co-op and needed work done on my car or on one of the family trucks.

Sonny was a great friend to my father, Marvin Arensman. I'm sure that Dad was eager to see Sonny walk through the pearly gates of Heaven so that now they could share a bottle of pop and candy bar while Sonny could catch Dad up on the gossip of Kinsley and Edwards County. I can just see them visiting for hours on end about what all the farmers are up to. Now they have an abundant amount of time to visit. I can just imagine what fun those two will have when each of them has a pair of wings!

May God comfort your family in this difficult time. You have the Marvin Arensman family's deepest sympathies.

Dear Betty, I am so sorry for your loss. We have lost 2 good men working together they must have "grown" mechanic together. Buzz always said Sonny was a good man to work with and be his friend. I might guess they will meet at the gates, maybe fixing if there is a squeak in the hinges?? They will enjoy each other again. He was a good man.

A person couldn't ask for a better father-in-law than Sonny. He was a friend to many & would help anyone. He was a superb mechanic. A hard worker up to the age of 80. He will be greatly missed & fondly remembered by all those knew him.
