August A. Konrade

August Konrade, 96, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend of many passed away October 16, 2019. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Juanita of 69 years. Their love was an inspiration to all who had the honor of knowing them.

He was born May 7th, 1923, in Hodgeman County, Offerle, the son of Jacob and Katherine Konrade. A hard working man and farmer all his life and willing to help no matter what the task.

His brothers and sisters, Alex Konrade, Joe Konrade, Mary Mader, Angela Alering, Florence Gleason and Caroline Miller also preceded August’s death.

August is survived by his children, Jerry Konrade (Betty) of Offerle, KS., Linda Powell (Gene) of Minneola, KS., Cheryl Bishop (Bobby) of El Paso, TX., Debbie Smiley (Jim) of bucklin, KS., Kevin Konrade (Kim) of Purcell, OK., Ron Konrade (Cindy) of Louisburg, KS. His grandchildren, Shawndell, Mike, Angie, JJ, Jake, Jenna, Candi, Cody, Caty, Lacey, Matt, Mazy, Megan, Josh, Jordan, and Jenna. His great grandchildren, Hannah, Hailey, Covey, Peyton, Andrew, Mikayla, Levi, Cash, Baily, Quenter, Braegen, Max, Sophia, Willow, Tyler, Jenna, Cooper, Burke, Katherine, Luke, Karlee, Daxson, Hoton, Justin and Ella Rose.

We hold you tightly within our hearts and there within you will remain, until the joyous day arrives that we see you again.
