Larry W. Houdeshell

Larry W. Houdeshell, 79, died April 13, 2019 at Edwards County Medical Center in Kinsley, KS.  He was born on February 4, 1940 in Kinsley, KS. the son of Roy and Ola Marie (Rushing) Houdeshell.  He was a longtime law enforcement officer.  On March 4, 1963 he married Rita C. Everett in Dodge City, KS. she preceded Larry in death.  He is survived by a son, Aaron J. Houdeshell of Colorado Springs, CO. a daughter, Helen Renee Waterman of Phillipsburg, KS. three brothers, Wayne Houdeshell of Dodge City, KS., Curtis Schlereth of Dodge City, KS., and Olen Schlereth of Garden City, KS. and one sister Marlene Hayden, Three grandchildren and one great grandchild.  One grandchild preceded him in death.  Visitation will be on Friday, April 19, 2019 from 9 am until 7 pm at McKillip Memorial Funeral Home, Kinsley, KS.  Funeral service will be on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the McKillip Memorial Chapel, Kinsley, KS. with Fr. John Strasser presiding.  Burial will be in the St. Frances Cemetery in Seward, KS.  Memorial may be given to the Larry Houdeshell Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
