Leonard Benish Obituary

Leonard John Benish, 56, died June 5, 2018 at Edwards County Medical Center, Kinsley. He was born September 27, 1961 at Kinsley, KS. the son of George and Ester (Kisner) Benish. On September 24, 1988 Leonard married Deanna Bernatzki in Offerle, KS. she survives. Other survivors include two sons; Bradley A. Benish of Kinsley, KS., and Benjamin Benish of Offerle, KS. three brothers; Robert Dunn, David Dunn and Don Benish.

Leonard worked may years at the Offerle Co-op in Offerle, Crustbuster of Spearville, Cross Manufacturing of Lewis and Midway Manufacturing of Kinsley. He also farmed for many years and ran his own mechanic shop. Leonard was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Hanston, KS. he served on the Farm Bureau Board in Kinsley.

Vigil service is planned for 7 pm Sunday, June 10, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Offerle, KS. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Church with Fr. John Strasser presiding. Burial will be in Old St. Joseph Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Leonard Benish Memorial Fund in care of McKillip Memorial Funeral Home, Kinsley.
