Gary Lynn Bradford

Gary Lynn Bradford was born on October 2nd, 1952 in Kinsley, Kansas. He was the son of Eugene “Jigger” and Marie (Trotter) Bradford. Although he grew up in Kinsley KS, he also lived in Hays KS, Larned, KS, Canon City, CO, Pawnee Rock, KS, Great Bend, KS, and Lawrence KS for various periods of time. On October 1st, 2020 Gary passed away unexpectedly in his home in Lawrence, KS where he had spent the years of his life.

He is survived by his companion of 27 years - Susan Keeler, his son Spencer Bradford and wife Danette, his daughter Lindsay Bradford, his grandson Brayden, his brothers Ross and Bob Bradford, his nephews Reason and Bryan Bradford, his niece Brook (Bradford) Fechter, and his foster son Daniel Scott.

Gary spent much of his days doing what he loved- working with antiques and furniture. He bought, refinished, collected, and sold antiques throughout his life which supplemented his income he earned teaching special needs adults woodworking at Rosewood Services. He also loved spending time working in his garage, taking walks with his favorite dog Betsy, watching sports, and spending time with his children who he loved so much. He loved with his whole heart and was cherished by his family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Services will be held on Friday October 9th with a viewing at 11:00AM at McKillip Funeral Home and a graveside memorial service at Hillside Cemetery in Kinsley, KS immediately following the viewing.
