Judith Mae Dockendorf passed away Monday February 26 at St Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS.

She was born February 19, 1941 in Dodge City Kansas the daughter of Edward and Angeline (Schinstock) Bogner. Upon filing for social security benefits she discovered the state said her birthday was February 20th. From then forward we celebrated her birthday two days in a row.

She attended school at Sacred Heart Grade School and St Mary of the Plains High School all in Dodge City.

After graduation she worked for a Savings & Loan in Dodge City until marrying Richard Dockendorf of Kinsley Kansas on August 10, 1961.

The first years of her marriage were spent helping on the farm, with the cattle, and raising their three children. She went back to work when the kids were junior high age at Fox’s Department store and then to Investor’s Savings & Loan. After retirement she couldn’t sit around the house so she worked part time for Midway Manufacturing and volunteered at Twice as Nice. She was an active member of first Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and then St Nicholas Catholic Church, a longtime member of the Daughters of Isabella, and a member of the Sunflower Polka Club.
