Mary Boman Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Boman (Quintero) 57, passed away November 3, 2021, at Wesley Medical Center due to complications of pneumonia.

She was born on April 19, 1964, at Edwards County Hospital in Kinsley, Kansas, to Joe and Ramona Quintero. She was a sister to three brothers Leonard, Allen, Paul, and one sister Margaret.

Mary graduated from Lewis High School in 1982. She was fond of furthering her education, graduating from Barton County Community College, Dodge City Community College, Phoenix University, Tabor College, and Rocky Mountain University. She taught CNA and CMA classes for over twenty years at Barton Community College. She worked for a number of health care agencies including Larned State Hospital. She served as Program Director in Kinsley and Greensburg for the Life Care Facilities.

She married Jon Dee Boman on October 10, 1992, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They spent 29 years together and had two children: Kristen Renee Boman-Downs, and Bryce Allen Boman. She has two grandchildren, Ceasar James Boman and Paisley Elizabeth Jo Downs. She enjoyed Ricky Martin music and loved the color purple.

Visitation will be on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am. to 7 pm. at McKillip Memorial Funeral Home, Kinsley. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am. on Monday, November 8, 2021, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Belpre, KS. Burial will follow in the Belpre Cemetery.
