Norma attended grade school and high school in Centerview and was one of only two students in her high school class. She also served as a County Commissioner for Edwards County for several years, was a life time member of Eastern Star, a former member of the Edwards County Historical Society and a former member and officer for the VFW auxiliary.

Norma enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing solitaire, playing cards with her grandchildren, telling them scary stories during overnighters at the farm and playing bridge. For many years she also enjoyed bowling with her friends.

Norma loved her family and spending time with them. She was particularly proud of her daughter and son-in law and grandchildren Charissa and Nick and has many pictures of them displayed in her home as they have grown. She was very happy with the spouses they chose in Darren and Robin and was quite pleased in getting to know great grandchildren Quinton, Kinsley and Mila.

Norma is survived by daughter Pamela (Clyde) Lobb of Shell Knob, Missouri, granddaughter Charissa (Darren) Kumar of Fort Worth, Texas, grandson Nicholas (Robin) Lobb, Topeka, Kansas, great grandson Quinton and great granddaughters Kinsley and Mila
