Marian "Jackie" Meggers

Marian "Jackie" Meggers - Canon City, Colorado, 94, passed away on August 5th, 2017. She was born June 22nd, 1923 in Burdett, Kansas, to Max D. and Ruby Mather. Marian married the love of her life, Arnold A. Meggers in 1946. This extraordinary woman; helped build B-25's/B-17's, was a medic nurse, and most of all, was a loving wife and mother. She was and avid reader and inspiring hobby painter. Mrs. Meggers is survived by; Aric Meggers (Kara), and Maureen Meggers; sister, Ellen "Babe" Green; great granddaughters, Tiger-Anne and Isys; great grandson, Abrahm. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, James Mather and Melvin "Bud" Mather; sister, Durl Lippolt; great grandson, Andrew. At her request, no funeral services will be held. Burial services will be on August 23rd, 2017 at 5:00 pm, Hillside Cemetery, Kinsley Kansas. Memorials can be made to the McKillip Memorial Funeral Home, Kinsley Kansas.
