Wilma Lorenzen, 79, of Scottsdale AZ., passed away on March 15, 2018. Wilma was born on November 24, 1938 in Kinsley Kansas. She was survived by two daughters Kim (Doug) Post of Scottsdale, and Jacqueline Lorenzen of Goodland, sisters Dorothy Putter of Kinsley, and Delores Jones of Offerle . She is preceded in death by husband Jack, and two daughters Brenda Sherman and Becky Lorenzen. She had 4 grandchildren Kristin Kettwich of Pratt, Ks, Lindsey (Justin) Wright of Scottsdale, AZ, Logan Post of Dallas, Texas, and Landon Post of Phoenix, AZ. She had 3 great grandchildren Glenn Kettwich of Pratt, and Emerson and Beckett Wright of Scottsdale. Her last survivor was her dog Sassy, beloved companion for over 5 years. Fearless protector until her passing.
Her last 2 years were spent at the Scottsdale Village Square Assisted Living, nwhere she and Sassy had numerous friends that she enjoyed spending time with. The caregivers were part of her extended family.
A funeral mass will be held at Saint Nicholas Catholic Church in Kinsley, Kansas, on Friday March 23, at 10:30a.m.with Fr. John Strasser presiding. Burial will be at Hillside cemetery directly following services. A Luncheon will be held at the church following burial.
