Howard Michael "Mike" Zook

Howard Michael Zook, 85, passed away May 17, 2026, at Country Living Memory Care, Larned, KS.

Known as Mike, he was born November 14, 1940, in Great Bend, KS. to Howard and Norma Zook, of Rozel, KS.  He was raised there on the dairy farm and attended Rozel schools, graduating with the class of 1958.

Mike married Agnes Brasted Hicks on April 25, 1969.  He lived most of his life in Garden City, KS. driving for Eves Trucking.  In his retirement he also drove for Meals on Wheels, Pizza Hut, and Door Dash.  Mike had received Jesus Christ as his savior, attended the First Assembly of God Church in Garden City, KS.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Missy Smith of Leavenworth, KS. and son, Michael of Garden City, KS. seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, his sisters; Carmen Franz, Lee Summit, MO., Dolretta Hagerty, Wichita, KS., Zella Sanner, Yuma, AZ. and his brothers; Ben Zook, Rozel, KS., and Mark Zook, Mesa, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, ex-wife, and elder sister, Sharron Brown.

Graveside service will be on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Zook, KS. south of Larned, KS.
