Kenneth Charles Burkhart

Kenneth Charles Burkhart, 69, died April 30, 2016. He was born Oct. 31, 1946, in Great Bend to Elred and Esther Burkhart. He was a 1964 graduate of Kinsley High School, 1966 graduate of Garden City Community College and 1968 graduate of Fort Hays State University. He was a farmer/stockman.

Survivors include: his mother Esther Durler Burkhart, Hutchinson; four sons, Matthew (Sharon) Burkhart, Portales, N.M, Eric (Krissie) Burkhart, Midland, Texas, Jason (Keri) Burkhart, Jemez Springs, N.M., Neal Burkhart, Ruidoso Downs, N.M.; brothers, Bob (Sheryl) Burkhart, Hutchinson, Ron (Rhonda) Burkhart, Kinsley, Jim (Marilyn) Burkhart, Goddard, Don (Julie) Burkhart, Overland Park, Gerald (Judye) Burkhart, Oklahoma City, Okla., Tom (Suzie) Burkhart, Mulvane; sisters, Mary Schneider, Topeka, Janel (Doug) Burr, Kinsley; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Rosary/Vigil 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2016, and service 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at St. Nicholas Church, Kinsley. Burial will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Kinsley. Memorial: Lord’s Diner, Wichita, Kan. and Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
