Patricia Sue Craft

Patricia Sue Craft was born August 19, 1935, in Kinsley, Kansas to Joe and Rubie (Hatfield) Craft.  She attended the Kinsley schools graduating with the Kinsley High School class of 1953.

After working at Ehlers Department Store, she decided to continue her education at Emporia State University and Kansas State University where she earned a bachelor's degree in Home Economics.  Her teaching career began in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Later she taught in Kansas including Belpre and the Ft. Larned Unified School District.  She retired after teaching over 25 years.

Her hobbies included drawing, painting, sewing and cooking.  Any sewn item was subjected to a thorough examination as to its construction and style before it could be enjoyed.  Through the years she enjoyed her friends from school and organizations such as the Red Hat Society.  Traveling was another pleasure going many places from Maine to Hawaii.  An avid fan of Kansas State University, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals, she attended many games with each one.  Special trips included traveling to K-State Bowl Games.  At home, there was always a cat to give her pleasure.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her sister Beverly Jo, her grandparents, Eva & Roy Hatfield, a special step-grandmother, Mattie Hatfield, and John & M. Hannah Craft.  Surviving is her sister, Dorothy Ann and many Craft and Hatfield cousins.

Pat died on August 9, 2026, at Medicalodges of Kinsley.  Graveside Services were held August 12, 2026, at Hillside Cemetery near Kinsley.  Memorials are suggested to the Kinsley United Methodist Church and the Kinsley Library, in care of McKillip Funeral Home, Kinsley.
