Bonnie Jean (Worley) Huntley

Bonnie Jean Worley Huntley, 89, passed away December 29, 2020 at the Edwards County Medical Center in Kinsley.

She was born September 15, 1931 the daughter of Andrew (Pete) and Mrytle Scott Worley. Her formative years were in Hunnewell, Kansas, where she graduated from high school.

Bonnie was married to John Milo Huntley at Ponca City, Oklahoma. To this union there were three children; Barbara and Husband Monty Bell of Lewis, Kansas; Billy Ray and wife Jean Huntley of Kinsley, Kansas; and Becky Lee and husband Mark Downey of Spearville, Kansas.

Preceding her in death was a sister Betty Wolf, her parents and her husband John.

Other survivors include a sister Trudy and husband Steve O'Hair of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren:

Lance and wife Cindy Bell of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; Aprilly and husband Mark Oberkrom of Manhattan, Kansas; Kelsey Peterson of Kinsley, Kansas and great grandchildren: Logan Bell of Joplin Missouri; Quentin Bell of Springfield, Missouri; Rylan Bell of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; Drake Oberkrom, Braxton Oberkrom both of Manhattan, Kansas; and Rylee Peterson of Kinsley, Kansas; a nephew Todd O'Hair and a niece Jennifer O'Hair both of Denver, Colorado.

Bonnie's greatest enjoyment was her years in child care for many young children in the Kinsley area. It was a joy to Bonnie to be a volunteer for many causes in Kinsley; The Hospital Auxiliary, Twice is Nice, and the many memorial dinners served at the Methodist Church where she was a member.

John and Bonnie, with their family moved to the Kinsley area in 1969 from Caldwell, Kansas.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2021, in Hillside Cemetery, Kinsley. Memorials may be given to the Edwards County Hospital Auxiliary in care of McKillip Memorial Funeral Home, Kinsley.
