Byrum Paul Bittel, 26, passed away June 16, 2022, in Olathe Kansas. He was born to Brady Bittel and Amanda Bittel (Leith) in Hays Kansas on October 19, 1995.
Byrum attended all years of school graduating from Spearville High School. He attended Dodge City Community College earning an Associates of Science, graduating with honors. He went on to attend Barton Community College earning his degree in medical coding.
Byrum loved life, maybe not always the one he had been delt, but you would never know that by the smile on his face or his intentions to make others happy. He enjoyed traveling and seeing new sites, MDA and FUSE camps top his list of things and people. He was delighted to be a participant of the Victory Electric Leadership Retreat. Byrum had a passion for Forensics and was Homecoming King his senior year. He was an avid sports fan as the years have passed, with KU being his #1 team.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1539, Spearville. St. John church, Spearville, Muscular Dystrophy Association and The FUSE Family.
Byrum was preceded in death by great grandparents Paul & Roberta Powell; Edgar and Rosemary Bittel; Rosaline Schaller and Helen Leith. Grandparents Loretta Leith and Jim Sanko.
Survivors include mother Amanda (Scheon) of the home, Father Brady (Sharley) of Ellis. Step-Mother Tammy Rudd (Casey) of Bucklin. Siblings Patrick, Teaghen, Austin, Brayden and Morgan. Grandparents Pat Sanko, Roger Leith, Stan and Kerry Bittel and Darlene Elledge. Aunts/uncles Robert Headrick, Blake (Rayna), Stanna (Doug), Seth (Stefanie), Ian (Dana), one niece, Passion Lynn, cousins and many friends.
Rosary will be Monday June 20th at 7pm at St. John Church, Spearville. Funeral Service will be held June 21st at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Church with Father Wesley Schawe presiding.
Memorials suggested being sent to St. John church or FUSE Foundation in care of the funeral home.
