Janet Adele (Walton) Wagner

Janet Adele “Jan” Wagner went to her Heavenly reward August 5, 2022 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City.

She was born Janet Walton on February 13, 1945 in Port Angeles, Washington, the second child and first daughter of Earl and Susie (Cripe) Walton. She grew up in Montana, living in several communities where her father worked as a music teacher. She graduated from Missoula Sentinel High School. She worked for many years as a nurse aide and home health aide.

On October 10, 1992 she married Jay Wagner in Missoula, Montana, blending together their two families from previous marriages. The couple moved to Kinsley in 2010 and made the community their home.

Jan is survived by her husband Jay of the home, children Wanda Knight of Kirkland, Washington and Loren Kyriss (Christinae) of Everett, Washington, Henry Wagner of Hutchinson and Tonya Wagner (Kenny Elliott) of Kinsley; grandchildren Bexx, Rachael, Breanna, R. J., Kateland, Sidney, and Andrew; nine great grandchildren; brothers Dick and Jess Walton of Missoula, Montana and Jim Walton of Billings, Montana; sister Charlotte Jackson for Fort Collins, Colorado, and numerous other relatives and friends. She will be interred in Hillside Cemetery and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
