Leo Ray Craven, 86 , passed away surrounded by family April 6, 2023 in Leoti, Ks.

Leo was born May 26, 1936, in Manchester, OK. To Parents Verle Craven & Agnes (Kivet) Craven.

Leo married the love of his life Darlene (Derley) Craven May 6, 1956 in Haviland, KS. To this union 3 children were born. Arinda “Rindy”, Michael “Mike”, & Brian.

They dotted the country as Leo served in the U.S. Navy 20 years as a 1st Class Machinist Repairman. After retiring from the Navy in 1974. They moved to Edwards County. Leo did many things, if it was broke he could fix it. Leo worked as a rural mail carrier for the U.S.P.S. For a short time. He enjoyed his family, owned a salvage yard for 20 years, Loved tinkering in the shop. Making all kinds of creative projects. He frequented auctions finding lots of interesting things. He loved laughing, smoking his pipe,also spending time at Boot Hill Casino. Most of all sharing his life with his wife.

Leo is survived by wife Darlene Lewis, KS, Sister Ardith Smith Yates Center, KS, Son Mike (Glenda) Craven Leoti, KS, Brian (Michelle) Craven Russell, KS, 12 Grand children, 23 Great grandchildren.

Leo is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, &1 grandson.

Visitation will be Monday April 10, 2023, 10 am until 7 pm at McKillip Funeral home 623 Marsh Ave. Kinsley KS.

Funeral service will be10:30 am Tuesday April 11, 2023 with Reverend Bill Stapleton presiding at McKillip funeral home.

Interment will follow at Wayne Cemetery Lewis, KS

A gathering for friends & family will follow interment at the Lewis Community Hall.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Edwards Co. EMT's, Wichita Co. EMT's Sent to McKillip Funeral Home P.O. Box 304 Kinsley, KS 67547
