Loretta J. (Sloan) Leith

Loretta J. Leith of Wichita, Kansas passed away peacefully at home on May 6th, 2019 at the age of 73. She was born on February 13th, 1946 the daughter of Merle and Betty Sloan of Lewis, Kansas they preceded her in death. She lived in Edwards County through her young adulthood before moving to Wichita with her family. She worked at Boeing for several years before retiring. Over the years she enjoyed horseback riding, sewing, gardening and the lifelong love of animals. She is survived by her husband, Roger Leith, siblings Larry and Lorena Sloan of central Kansas, a daughter Kim (McChristian) Velez, her husband Jose and their children Daniel and Alexa of Denver, Colorado, step children Robert Headrick of Olatha, Amanda Bittel and her husband Scheon, and children Patrick, Byrum, Teagan and great granddaughter Passion Lynn of Spearville, Kansas. Memorial service will be held at 2pm on Friday, May 17th, 2019 at the West Evangelical Free Church, 1161 N. Maize Rd., Wichita, Kansas. A gathering will take place following the service at 335 S. Evergreen Lane, Wichita, Kansas. On Saturday, May 18, 2019 a second service will be held at 11:00 am at McKillip Memorial Funeral Home, Kinsley. A memorial has been set up in Loretta's name with the Kansas Humane Society in care of McKillip Memorial Funeral Home.
