Obituary

Walter James (Jim) Mowrey, 91, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the home of Thomas Mowrey, his youngest son.  There will be a committal service at the Hillside Cemetery outside Kinsley, Kansas on Friday, November 5th at 2 pm.

Jim was born March 6, 1930 to Magnus and Carrie Bell Mowrey in Rozel, Kansas.  Jim was a lifelong Kansan and graduated from Dodge City High School in 1947.  He was also a graduate of the Dodge City School of Electronics, scoring a 100% on every exam that he took.

Jim was a lifelong sports enthusiast.  One summer he even played minor league ball.  After a while, he began to spend his summers coaching baseball.  But his true passion was his boys and radio controlled airplanes.  But he loved nothing better than being the husband to his wife, Beryl.
